Today many monuments are acknowledged by UNESCO as the monuments of universal importance. UNESCO World Heritage Center included in the List of World heritage monuments the following: mausoleum of Khodzha Akhmet Yassaui and complex of Tamgaly petroglyphs in Almaty oblast. The cultural brands of Kazakhstan are the monuments Altyn Adam (Golden man), Mausoleum of Khodzha Akhmet Yassaui, Otrar, Turkestan.
Musical heritage of Kazakhstan is also unique.
One of the most popular and significant lyrical and epic Kazakh poem is “Kyz Zhibek”. It is included in the UNESCO world cultural.
The literature heritage of Kazakhstan includes works of outstanding scientists, thinkers of the past that are recognized as the gems of the world humanistic spiritual culture: Al-Farabi, Korkyt Ata, Abai, Shakarim, oral folk arts.
KEEPIHG FIT AND DOING SPORTS
I you want to feel fit you’d better go in for one kind of sport or another. I should admit that everyone must do all he can to be healthy. Good health is better than the best medicine. “You have a sound mind in a sound body” as the old Latin saying goes. The English proverb “Sickness in the body brings sickness to the mind” expresses a similar idea but from different point of view. All kinds of physical exercises are very useful to make our bodies strong and to keep ourselves fit and healthy. To tell the truth I don’t do sports regularly and it is not an essential part of my daily life. In the morning I do some exercises just to awake. Then some aerobics for myself. It puts me into the fine moods. In summer I go swimming as there is a beautiful river with pure water where my Granny lives. In winter, it’s rather long at our place, I should say, I prefer skiing (There is nothing like the sight of a winter forest - a real fairy-tale). I like to ride the bike and tobogganing in winter. Mum says that I’m to old to do it, why not after all? I shouldn’t call myself a sports fan. Of course , I like to watch sports competitions on TV . Fortunately , they show different ones - football , basketball . I like tennis tournaments very much . I think , it’s a very intelligent kind of sport for clever thinking people . Also I admire skiing championships , biathlon , swimming . But what I like most is basketball . The best games are viewed on TV. I came to know that modern basketball appeared in 1891 in the USA. The originator, John Naismith was a coach at the college. He invented the baskets and the rules of the game. Since then basketball has be become very popular and is spread all over the world. It is the sport of strong tall men, the sport of giants.

Doing sports a man become strong, healthy and gay. He begins to take care of his health.
“Good health is better than wealth”, you know. It’s true, I should say. In our school we have a nice gym. Sports and games are popular among pupils. A lot of children train at special sport schools.

Learning a foreign language is the best that can be, learning it in a country where they speak it

Nowadays people spend lots of money in order to go to an English-speaking country to improve their language skills. But is it really the most effective way of learning a language? In my view, studying in a foreign country has certain drawbacks. Firstly, this way is very expensive as the tuition fee for overseas students is rather high. Besides, when you study abroad, you have to adapt to a very different way of life, which can be quite stressful. What is more, English teachers do not speak Russian so if you don’t know English well, you will not understand their explanation.
It is often assumed that it is better to study a language abroad because you can always use it speaking with native speakers. However, I doubt that we will have lots of opportunities to speak abroad as we do not know many people there. It is also believed that Russian teachers are not as qualified as those in England. I totally disagree with this opinion because Russian teachers can compare two languages and explain grammar rules better.
To sum up, I would argue that the best way to learn a language is to study it in your native country because you can always get the necessary help from your teachers. Moreover, today we have lots of opportunities to improve our skills such as communicating with English pen-friends over the Internet. I think that we should travel abroad so as to practise a language but not to study it.

LEARNING FOREIGN LANGUAGE.
The great German poet Goethe once said: «He who know no foreign language does not know his own one. Learning foreign languages is specially important nowadays. Some people learn foreign languages because they need them in their work, others travel abroad, for the third studying languages is a hobby.
Every year thousands of people from Russia go to different countries as tourists or to work. They can not go without knowing the language of the country they are going to. A modern engineer or even a worker can not work with an imported instrument or a machine if he is not able to read the instruction how to do it. Ordinary people need language to translation the instruction or the manual to the washing-machine or a vacuum-cleaner, medicine or even food-products.
Some people are as a rule polyglots. Historians diplomats need some languages for their work. If you want to be a classified specialist you must learn English, the language of international communication. English is one of the world languages. It is the language of progressive science and technology, trade and cultural relations, commerce and business. It is the universal language of international aviation, shipping and sports. It is also the major language of diplomacy. Hundreds and hundreds of books, magazines and newspapers are printed in English, most of the world’s mail and telephone calls are in English. Half of the world’s scientific literature is written in English. English is spoken by more than 350 million people. Geographically, it is the most widespread language on earth, second after Chinese. It is the official language of the UK, the USA , of Australia and New Zealand, it is used as one of the official languages in Canada, the South Africa. Millions of people study and use English as a foreign language. In our country English is very popular. It is studied at schools, colleges and universities. Learning English is not an easy thing. It is a long process and takes a lot of time and patience. But to know English today is absolutely necessary for every educated person. I want to know English because it’s interesting for me to know foreign countries, their cultures and tradition. English will be of great use in my future profession connected with computers.

Дипломаты Историков нуждаются в некоторых языках для их работы. Если Вы хотите быть классифицируемым специалистом, Вы должны изучить Английский язык, язык международной связи.

Я хочу знать Английский язык, потому что это интересно для меня, чтобы знать иностранные страны, их культуры и традицию. Английский язык будет иметь большое использование в моей будущей профессии, связанной с компьютерами.

Leisure
When we have time for leisure, we usually need something that can amuse and interest us. There are several ways to do this. People use radio or television. They switch on the radio set or TV set and choose the program they like best. Some people like music. They listen to various concerts of modern and old music, new and old songs, and see dances. Everybody likes to see skating and dancing on the ice. Radio and television extend our knowledge about the world in which we live. Television helps us to “visit” different lands, see new plants, animals, unusual birds, fish and insects, mountains and valleys, lakes, rivers and seas. We are shown different countries, cities and towns and people who live there. This is what we can do at home. If we want to go out, there are a lot of cinemas, theaters, and museums. In our city it is often difficult to decide where to go in the evening. Newspapers tell us what is on at cinemas and theaters. If you are a theatergoer, you will choose a play you want to see. If you are a film fan, you will go to the cinema. The cinema has really become the most popular kind of art. Young and old people like to see films very much. There are many sections in Almaty. Those who like to dance join a dancing section. Those who are interested in music join a musical section where they are taught to play different musical instruments. People who are fond of sports can join sport sections, such as football, skiing, chess and others.
Lomonosov.
Mike Lomonosov is the father of the Russian sciences and outstanding poet the founder of Russian literature. M.L. was born in 1711 in Arhangelsk province. He liked to spend his time fishing with his father. He began to read him self then he was a little boy. He wanted to study and then he was 19 he went on foot to Moscow. He decided to enter the Slavic-Greek-Lateen academy. He entered it and six ears later in 1736 he was sent abroad to complete his studies in chemistry and mining. L worked hard and he became a great scientist. He was a physicist a painter and astronomer, a geographer a historian and a states man. M.L. made a telescope; he observed a lot of stars and planets with his telescope. L wrote a first scientific grammar of Russian language. He wrote many poems. L build a factory near Petersburg. It was a factory there glass was produced. He made a portrait of Peter the first of pieces of glass. L was a founder of the first Russian University. This University is named after L and it is situated in Moscow. M.L was died in 1765 but people know and remember him.
London
London is one of the most beautiful and prosperous cities in the world. The capital of the United Kingdom is a multinational and multicultural megacity: over 8 million people live there. London is an extremely important economic and cultural center of Europe, as well as an administrative center of the state: British Parliament and the Queen’s residence, Buckingham Palace, are situated there.
Every part of London has its own international role: the huge trading port, the district City (business and financial “heart” of Europe), Soho where entertainments, musical and theatrical life are concentrated, Fleet Street with numerous newspaper and magazine offices, etc. London has improved banking system and infrastructure. It is famous for its transport (“cabs”, red double-decker buses, and the oldest subway in the world). London universities have strong educational traditions.
Founded by Romans in 43 AC, later London turned into the capital of the independent England, and then of the empire uniting England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. Quickly growing, it was especially powerful in the Tudors’ epoch when became the hotbed of religious Reformation and during the reign of Queen Victoria (the 19th century) – as a great cultural and industrial center. London survived plague epidemics, fires, and bombings of the World War II, but was constantly reborn.
Landmarks of London attract millions of tourists. Its main symbols are the clock tower Big Ben, Tower Bridge, and colossal Trafalgar Square. The British Museum contains one of the best archaeological and art collections in the world. Gothic Westminster Abbey and Hyde Park are also very impressive.

Love
Some things are constantly important in the human life and culture: their role does not depend on an epoch because it is evident in everyone’s destiny. These phenomena include vital events (for example, marriage, childbirth, war, disease, death), eternal questions (sense of life, the existence of God), and feelings (bonds between relatives, hatred to enemies, etc.).
Of course, love refers to all these groups. It transforms our life and worldview, making us see other people and ourselves in a new way. The main gift of love is the possibility to cherish someone else more than oneself, to share with him or her one’s spiritual world and everyday life. This unselfish, light feeling help us to avoid loneliness, to find beauty and poetry even in something usual.
There are different types of love: our attitude to the mother and to the child, love to friends and to a matter of life. However, the most wonderful and mysterious feeling, according to the humanity’s experience, is love between a man and a woman. When it comes, a personality begins a new stage of its development: one’s joys, sorrows, worries, and passions become associated with a beloved.
Therefore, love is so significant in all the cultures as a subject of arts – literature, painting, music, and cinema. Many great love stories became famous and immortal: mythological (Paris and Helen), literary (Romeo and Juliet) as well as real ones (Marc Antony and Cleopatra, John Lennon and Yoko Ono). Despite difficulties and even pain, people still admire love as an awesome feeling.
Некоторые вещи неизменно значимы в человеческой жизни и культуре: их роль не зависит от эпохи, потому что очевидна в судьбе каждого. Эти феномены включают жизненно важные события (например, брак, рождение ребёнка, война, болезнь, смерть), вечные вопросы (смысл жизни, существование Бога) и чувства (узы между родными, ненависть к врагам и др.).
Конечно, любовь относится ко всем этим группам. Она преображает нашу жизнь и мировоззрение, заставляя нас увидеть других и себя по-новому. Главный дар любви – возможность дорожить кем-то больше, чем самим собой, разделять с ним или с ней свой духовный мир и повседневную жизнь. Это бескорыстное, светлое чувство помогает нам избегать одиночества, находить красоту и поэзию даже в чём-то обыденном.
Есть разные виды любви: наше отношение к матери и к ребёнку, любовь к друзьям и к делу жизни. Однако самое удивительное и загадочное чувство, согласно опыту человечества, – это любовь между мужчиной и женщиной. Когда она приходит, личность начинает новую стадию развития: радости, печали, заботы и страсти человека теперь связаны с возлюбленным.
Поэтому во всех культурах любовь так важна в качестве предмета искусств – литературы, живописи, музыки и кино. Многие великие истории любви стали знаменитыми и бессмертными: мифологические (Парис и Елена), литературные (Ромео и Джульетта), а также реальные (Марк Антоний и Клеопатра, Джон Леннон и Йоко Оно). Несмотря на трудности и даже боль, люди по-прежнему восхищаются любовью как потрясающим чувством.
