- Open your books at page 25. Let's learn what this module is about. Who can you see in picture 1? (А girl and ап old woman.)
- What page is the picture from? (lt'sfrom page 28.)
- Who are these people? ( They are allfictional characters.)
(Учитель может предложить учащимся назвать книги, ге роями которых являются данные персонажи: "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" Ьу Lewis Carroll, "А Christmas Carol" Ьу Charles Dickens, "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" Ьу L. Frank Baum, "Peter Pan" Ьу J.M. Barrie.
Аналогично учитель задает вопросы об остальных иллюстра uиях на с. 25.)
- Let's find the page numbers for the things in the list: а painting, а descriptive article, people at work, storybook characters.
(Ученики самостоятельно находят и записывают номера стра ниu, а затем все вместе проверяют.

(Один из учеников читает список тем вслух. Учителю следу ет убедиться, что учащиеся понимают значение указанных слов и словосочетаний.)
- Read the title of this module. What is а profile?
(Учитель записывает слово profile на доске. Ученики выска зывают свои предположения. Учитель помогает сформулировать значение слова: It's а short description о/ а person 's physical appearance and character.
Затем учащиеся знакомятся с задачами, которые им предстоит решить в ходе работы над модулем, с грамматическим материа лом, а также с перечнем умений, которыми им предстоит овладеть. Затем учитель объясняет, какие письменные и проектные работы ученики будут выполнять в данном модуле.)
