How will you describe your ideal wife/husband?
| What qualities am I looking for in my future partner? First of all, I am not looking for "Mr Tall, Dark and Handsome". Character is more important than looks. Good communication is the key to any solid relationship in marriage. I would want my future partner to share his thoughts with me. I want to hear his dreams and to share in his struggles. On the other hand, I will also need someone who will be ready to listen to me, and interested to know what is happening in my life. There should be no secrets between us. The perfect husband should have a positive attitude and a good sense of humour. Above all other qualities, the perfect husband should be faithful. Actually, there are many other qualities that make a man perfect husband. For example, one obvious quality would be the ability to provide. Of course it is easy to make lists, finding a man to live up to them will be very difficult. Furthermore, instead of focusing on my requirements for the perfect husband, I think I should recognise my own imperfections, and set about correcting them. As Barnett Brickner said, "Success in marriage does not come merely through finding the right mate, but through being the right mate." |

Today young people take an active part in the social life of the country. What youth organizations do you know?
Today young people try to take an active part in social life. They join different clubs, groups or societies. There are some religious groups, political and non-political youth organisations in my country.
Different religious youth groups aim at helping elderly people or working in hospitals. They also involve young people into music and drama festivals.
The largest non-political organization is the Scout Movement. The membership is voluntary. They have a special badge, a training programme and the motto «Be Prepared». They develop such skills as honesty, obedience, patriotism, kindness. The Belarusian Pioneer Movement is a part of the Scout Movement.
One of the organizations connected with political parties is the Youth Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (YCND) which cooperates with the National Union of Students. They organize meetings, demonstrations and festivals.
The most important youth organization in Belarus is the BRSM. The BRSM was founded in 2002. Its goals are to promote patriotism and moral values. The BRSM organizes such activities as camping, sporting events, concerts, volunteer work, charity and different demonstrations.

Are you a member of any youth organization? Why (not)?
I'm a member of the BRSM. I think that youth organizations help young people to socialize, create conditions for all-round development of young people and to contribute to the creation of a civil society in Belarus. I am lucky to make many friends through the activities of the BRSM. We meet while taking part in different projects. We take part in useful public activities such as sporting events, volunteering at hospitals, taking care of war veterans, assisting the old, carrying out some ecological projects and doing other things.It makes my life more enjoyable, brighter and full of sense.

What will you advise a person who wants to express himself/herself?
I would advise a person who wants to express himself/ herself to participate in a campaign organized by BRSM, for example cleaning parks, helping elder people, taking care of homeless pets, etc. He can go camping, participate in sporting events, visit and clean memorials, do charity and take part in volunteering. Taking part in different events, my friend will act not only as a resident of our town, a student of our school, but as a representative of the Belarusian youth. He can see himself as part of our homeland, part of the Republic of Belarus. It’s also a good idea to join people with the same interests as the feeling of solidarity with likeminded friends makes us feel stronger and more confident. Together we can do much more than on our own. Joining an interest club or a sports club will help him lead a happier life. Various activities will provide him with a chance to make friends, learn through new experience, have fun and develop different skills and good personal qualities. All these tips will help him express himself.
