Отличия причастия II от глагола прошедшего времени
1) причастие II может определяться наречием:
The room furnished rather simply was large enough. – Комната, обставленная довольно просто, была достаточно большой.
2) за причастием II может следовать предложное дополнение с предлогом by:
The novel recommended by the librarian turned out to be very dull. – Книга, рекомендованная библиотекарем, оказалась очень скучной.
3) причастие II не может выступать в предложении в функции сказуемого:
They translated the text at the lesson. – Они перевели текст на прошлом уроке.
