44. How does the ambient air and sea temperature influence water production of the F. W. Generator? List the points to look for if production falls. How can production be increased?

45. Sketch and describe the O. W. S and 15 ppm oil monitor. Describe how to demonstrate the 15 ppm alarm function. Include an extract from the Oil Record Book and state how it is completed. When the 15 ppm alarm is activated, what else happens.

How would you extinguish the fire if it will not bum out with the engine running. What causes scavenge fires and what can be done to avoid them.

49. Discuss advantages and disadvantages of Fixed foam, C02, Halon, Water spray / mist.
