Awarding of participants of the International competition



General

1.1. International robotics and technical creativity distance competition «Histories of the world» (hereinafter "International competition") is held on the basis of the MAI "TEC-centre Umnikum".

1.2. This regulation defines the conditions of the participation in the International competition and the procedure of its conduct.

Goals and objectives

2.1. The goal of the International competition:

· Creating an e-book «Histories of the world», which will include works-winners of the International competition «Histories of the world»

2.2. The objectives of the International competition:

· introducing children and teenagers to the culture and traditions of different countries;

· the identification of a talented youth;

· the establishment of the professional and intercultural communication;

· improving the effectiveness of the inter-ethnic dialogue among young people;

· educating children to respect the national traditions of different countries, familiarizing them with the world cultural values;

· the promotion of the achievements of the science and the technology;

· the involvement of children in solving research and technical problems;

· the promotion of the professional orientation for children.

 

Participants of the International competition

3.1. Teams participate in the International competition. A competitive team consists of a minimum one (1) and a maximum of five (5) children and one (1) or two (2) coaches (the age of the coach is over 18 years old).

· Team members can be the children of educational institutions, technical creativity centres, photo and video studios, animation studios, creative clubs, etc.

· The age of participants –over 5 years.

· All teams are divided into the following categories depending on the age of the senior participant (not the coach)::

· 5-9 years old– Junior category;

· 10-14 years old – Average category;

· 15-18 years old – Senior category;

· 19 and older - "Veteran" category.

· The teams of each age category compete with each other in their own streams.

 

Procedure of conducting an International competition

4.1. To participate in the International competition, the head coach of the team provides an electronic form:

- video project (video lasting no more than 5 minutes);

- engineering book describing the team's project;

- project poster;

- scanned copy of the birth certificate for each team member;

- scanned copy of the passport for each team coach;

- agreement to the processing of personal data for each team member.

4.2. Requirements for the materials that needs to be provided are given in the description of each stream.

4.3. The application for participation in the International competition is filled out by the head coach of the team. Link to the application form:

The application must be accompanied by scanned copies of documents and Addition #1 ("Agreement to personal data processing") for each participant and the team's coaches.

Materials (video project, engineering book, project poster) are sent in a letter marked «Histories of the world» to the address: whelan2@mail.ru 

4.4. Documents and materials for participation in the International competition are accepted until February 12, 2021.

4.5. Documents and materials are issued in Russian or in English.

4.6. Summarizing of the International competition will be held on February 26, 2021 in MAI " TEC-centre Umnikum" (94"A", International street, Birsk, Republic of Bashkortostan, Russian Federation).

4.7. In order to clarify the information about the project, an online conference can be organized with the participation of the team representing the project, the organizers and the judges.

4.8. The projects are evaluated by judges (at least 5 people). Project requirements and evaluation format are given in the description of each direction.

Directions of the International competition

The International competition is held in the following directions:

1.   «Artistic direction» (Direction is divided into categories).

2.   «Robots which help children».

3.   «Architecture and cultural monuments».

 

Awarding of participants of the International competition

All participants and winners in the directions of the International competition are awarded a certificate (in electronic form).

According to the results of the International competition, a e-book «Histories of the world» is created, which includes the works of the winners and the works, which are selected by the judges. The electronic version of the book will be in the open access.
