Past Simple / Past Continuous



 

Задание.

 Выбрать из набора предложенных упражнений те, которые целесообразно использовать на уроках английского языка в 3 классе на отработку умения правильно использовать Past Simple /Past Continuous (аналогично для 4 класса).

Упражнение 1. Напиши правильно предложения, употребляя английские глаголы в Past Simple или  Past Continuous.

1.I (see) a light in your window as I (pass) by.

2.Yesterday as I (walk) down Cherry Lane, I (meet) Thomas, an old friend of mine.

3.Liz’s elder brother said that he (go) to enter Leeds University.

4.While my son (wait) for my call, somebody (knock) at the door.

5.We ( talk) with him when he suddenly (come) in.

  1.I saw a light in your window as I was passing by.

  2.Yesterday as I was walking down Cherry Lane, I met Thomas, an old friend of mine.

4.While my son was waiting for my call, somebody knocked at the door.

5.We were talking with him when he suddenly came in.

Упражнение 2. Поставь общий вопрос к предложению.

1. Mr. Brown walked to his office.

2. The boys tried to understand the lesson.

3. You believed what he said.

4. He wrote letters to his brother every week.

5.They wrote to their mother  every week.

Упражнение 3. Поставь общий вопрос к предложению.

1. The baker sold good cakes.

2. The baker burned the cakes.

3. The lesson began at nine o’clock.

4. John brought his little brother to school.

5. John brought that fruit from Greece.

Упражнение 4. Поставь общий вопрос к предложению.

1. Mr Smith caught the eight o’clock train.

2. All the boys wore warm overcoats.

3. They thought carefully about that exercise.

4. They all went to the football match.

5. She said she was very busy.

1. John took his little brother to school.

2. His mother made a big cake for the party.

3. The dog lay in its basket.

4. John held his little brother’s hand.

5.Mr  Green went to the office by car.

Упражнение 6. Поставь общий вопрос к предложению.

  1. Fred gave his bicycle to his younger brother.

  2. The cruel driver hit the horse.

  3. The children got a lot of presents at Christmas.

  4. Henry forgot to bring his book to the class.

5.The cat drank its milk.

1. John’s little brother came to school with him.

2. Richard caught the ball.

3. Richard fell while he was running.

4. The greedy boy ate all the cake.

Упражнение 8. Поставь общий вопрос к предложению.

1. George drew a picture of the teacher.

2. Your mother cut the cake.

3. The wind blew the tree down.

4. The angry dog bit the boy’s leg.

5. They stood in the rain for an hour.

Упражнение 9. Раскрой скобки , употребляя глаголы в Past Simple или Past Continuous.

1. I (to go) to the cinema yesterday.

 I (to go) to the cinema at four o’clock yesterday.

2. I (to go) to the cinema when you met me.

3. I (to do) my homework the whole evening yesterday.

4. I (to do) my homework when my mother came home.

5. I (to do) my homework from five till eight yesterday.

Упражнение 10. Раскрой скобки , употребляя глаголы в Past Simple или Past Continuous.

1. I (not to play the piano) at four o’clock yesterday.

2. He (not to sleep) when father came home.

3. I (to go) to the cinema yesterday.

I (to go) to the cinema at four o’clock yesterday.

4. I (to go) to the cinema when you met me.

5. I (to do) my homework the whole evening yesterday.
