COMPETITION GUIDELINES
ELIGIBILITY
Group I: 6-9 years of ageas of November 18, 2018
Group II: 10-12 years of age as of November 18, 2018
Group III: 13-16 years of age as of November 18, 2018
Group IV: 17-19 years of age as of November 18, 2018
Group V: 20-35 years of age as of November 18, 2018
Competition Rules
· All music must be performed on classical guitar
· The competition repertoire must be played from memory
· Participants are encouraged to use the full time allocated for each round
· No repertorie may be repeated in other rounds
· Jury decision is based on points combined from all rounds
ENTRY FEE = RUR3000 = RMB500 = EUR50 = USD50
Program Requirements
GROUP 1 (AGES 6–9)
Single Round: 5-10 minutes, three contrasting works
GROUP II (AGES 10–12)
Single Round: 5–12 minutes: one XVIII-XIX century work and two contrasting works
GROUPIII (AGES 13–16)
Single Round: 8–15 minutes: one XVIII-XIX century work and two contrasting works
GROUP IV (AGES 17–19)
I Round: 10–15 minutes: one XVIII-XIX century work and one or more contrasting works
Final Round: 15–20 minutes: two to three contrasting works form different periods
GROUP V (AGES 20–35)
I Round: 10–15 minutes: one virtuoso composition originally written for guitar
and one free choice work
Semi-Final Round: 10–20 minutes: one or more movements from a suite, a sonata or a partita by J.S.Bach, D.Scarlatti or G.F.Handel, one original XVIII-XX century work and one free choice work
Final Round: one concerto for guitar with orchestra at competitor's choice:
- M. Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Concerto for Guitar and Orchestra No.1, D major
- J. Rodrigo, Concierto de Aranjuez

General Provisions
The founders of the IV International Competition "Classicheskaya Gitara", hereinafter referred to as the Competition, are:
- The Ministry of Culture of the Novosibirsk Region
- The Novosibirsk MusicCollege named after A. Murov
- The Siberian Center for Classical Guitar
The Competition will take place atthe Novosibirsk College of Music named after A. Murovon November 11-18th, 2018.
Registration
The List of Documents required for participation in the Competition:
1. Application form attached
2. Copy of the Birth Certificate or the Passport of the Participant • the original is presented upon arrival at the competition
3. A photo in JPEG format
4.Payment Receipt in case of payment by bank transfer
• Applications for participation in the Competition are accepted until October 20th, 2018.Submission of the application means acceptance of the terms and conditions of the competition.Registration of participants is conducted after confirmation of payment of the registration fee.
In case of refusal to participate in the competition, the registration fee is not refundable.
• All travel expensesare paid by the Participants or by the responsible party. Accommodation of Participants and Guests of the Competition in the hotels of Novosibirsk is organized by the Novosibirsk Music College on prior request. The Organizing Committee requests before November 1st, 2018 to inform about the time of arrival and departure of the Participants of the Competition.
• The registration is held at the Novosibirsk College of Music named after A.F. Murov November 11, 2018 from 10.00 to 14.00.

• The Jury of the competition reserves the right to change the procedure of the competition for any given age group.
In case the participant exceeds the admissible time limit, the jury may stop the participant's performance.
• The Jury evaluates the performances of participants on a 25-point scale.
If requested, the participant must be able to provide the copy of the score of the performed program to the jury.
• The Jury of the competition reserves the right to award not all prizes and diplomas, to share one award among several participants, to award special prizes and/or diplomas for the performance of certain works of the competition program, to award competitors’ teachershonorary certificates. All jury decisions are final.
• The Organizing Committee reserves the right to audio and video recording of the Contest Participants and use of these materials for broadcasting, advertising, and educational purposes. The Regulation and the Program of the Competition are subject to change by the Organizers.
