Do you think your life will change when you leave school? Why(not)?

Yes, I think my life will change when I leave school. But it will depend on what way I choose.

I’ll try to pass exams successfully, then to enter the university to become a good specialist. So I believe my future job will bring me only satisfaction. I’m sure I’ll meet interesting people on my way.

What questions will you ask your future employer when applying for a job?

- How much is the salary?

- Is any experience required?

- Have got any other jobs?

- Do you need any qualifications?

- Is there any dress-code in your office?

Give your schoolmates some advise on what they need to do to create a favourable impression either at a job interview or at an important exam.

First of all you should think about your appearance. Dress smartly, wear a shirt or a tie. It shows that you are well brought-up and responsible. Enter the room with a bright and friendly smile. Look at the person you are talking to. Don’t use your mobile phone. Switch it off beforehand.

Some people think that it is necessary to speak a foreign language well to get a good job. Do you agree with them?

- Yes, I do. English is becoming the language of international trade. It is essential for the development of international contacts in the sphere of political, social, business and cultural relations. It enables people to find work almost anywhere in the world. Modern world is a global community. So as to be a member of this community you should know a universal language. It’s English. It’s the language of the Internet, all international conferences, different instructions for modern devices and so on. That’s why, you’ll be a good candidate for any job if you speak a foreign language.

1.Let`s talk about life in the city and in the country. Tell me about the place where are you living now.

I live in Mezhisetki. This village is not far from Mogilev. Sometimes people from other places think that it’s just an ordinary village, but after visiting it they say I live like in a town.

There are a lot of four and five-storied buildings, where most of our villagers live. When we want to buy something, we can go to a shop. There are four shops where we can buy everything we need.

If you catch a cold you don’t have to go to Mogilev because we have a hospital there.

There is a poultry farm, where my parents work. This farm is very big and even people from Mogilev come to work there. Also there is a school where I studied. It’s a beautiful three-storied building. And for little children we have a kindergarten.

I like my village. I have a lot of friends here. When I have to leave this place for a long time I miss it very much.

Where would you like to live: in a city or in the country? Why(not)?

I’d like to live in a city because all necessary objects are situated nearby: shops, hospitals, post offices ,chemist’s and so on. It is really convenient that everything you need in your everyday life is situated near you. Besides in big cities you can find all sorts of entertainment such as cinemas, clubs, parks, museums, theatres. Many people like to spend their free time there because it helps them to relax and brings them a lot of pleasure. One of the most important comforts of big cities is that you can get everywhere you like very fast either by underground or by bus or taxi.

What questions would you like to ask a teenager who lives in the country?

- Would you like to move to a big city?

- What is the greatest advantage living in the country?

- Have your parents got a car?

- Is your school close to your house?

- How do you get to your school?

If your parents ask for your opinion where to move: to the city or to the country, what would you recommend them to do?

So, I would recommend my parents to move to the country. They can enjoy the clean atmosphere, nature, forest, the friendly neighbours. I know they are tired of noisy city. It will be the best way for them to relax and spend the rest of their life listening to the twittering of birds in the tress and the breathtaking sight of the rising sun.
