I have a lot of friends. Most of them are my former classmates. The name of my best friend is Dmitry. He is a first year student of the Moscow Aviation Institute. Dmitry is in his late teens.
He is look like quite tall, has pleasant appearance. Dmitry has short, fair hair and green eyes. He has constantly fresh complexion. He is a remarkable person. My friend is very kind and witty. He is always ready to help me. Dmitry is reliable and loyal friend. Dmitry has a lot of hobbies: techniques, fishing, and sport. He prefers free style in clothes and usually carries a shirt, dark jeans and fashionable sneakers.
We spend much time together - watch video or listen to the music, walk or go to the cafe discussing all sorts of things. Our friendship helps me feel strong and sure of myself.
Speak about your hobbies and interests.
If you have a hobby you are happy because it makes our life more interesting. People choose their hobbies according to their interests or characters. We can divide hobbies into four large classes doing things, making things, collecting things, and learning things. Doing things includes: different kinds sport, gardening, travelling etc. Making things includes: playing different musical instruments, painting, designing, etc. People like collecting things. They can collect stamps, coins, books, toys, post-cards, etc. Learning things is to learn foreign languages, different sciences. You can learn by reading books.
I prefer going things. In my free time I go fishing. I think it is very interesting activity I go fishing is summer and in winter with my friend. I get up early and go to the lake in countryside. Usually I go by car. I take boat and fishing-lines with me. I spend all day near the lake. I think it is wonderful and useful for health.
Speak about your University and faculty and your university life.
I study at S-Petersburg State Transport University .Our University educates specialists in every field connected with railways. It was founded in 1809 year. The first head of the Institute was Augustin Betancours, a distinguished Spanish engineer and scientist. The University includes seven full-time faculties: Rail Operation faculty, Railway Construction faculty, Civil Engineering faculty, Economics and Social Managements faculty and so on. More than 9000 students attend our University. At present the University occupies 14 buildings.

I’m a first year students. I study at the Civil Engineering faculty. Our faculty is as old as the Institute itself. My studies start at 9 o’clock. I live far from University so it takes me one hour to get to University. To come in the University I must show my student’s card. At university we study different subjects. For example Geodesy, Mathematics, Physics, English, and so on. My favorite subject is engineering Graphics. I’m good at Physics but not good at History. Every day we have three of four lessons. During the break we go to the canteen to have lunch. Our studies finish ten past four p.m. After classes I go home, have dinner, do my homework, and watch TV.
There are different ways of travelling what do you prefer and why?
A lot of people like travelling. Travelling to all corners of the world becomes easier and easier. There are different ways of travelling. Such as: travelling by plane, by train, by car, by ship. Travelling by plane is the fastest on. But some people think that it is dangerous and expensive. When you travel by plane you can read books, watch films. Travelling by train is slower than by plane. But you can enjoy beautiful views through the window. You can go for a walk when train stops. You can go to the restaurant-car; you can speak with different people. Travelling by car is faster than travelling by train. You can go where you want and stop at any place. But travelling by car is uncomfortable and dangerous in my opinion.
My favorite way of travelling is by ship. Travelling by ship is very interesting. If this is a big ship there are shops, swimming-pools, gyms, cafes on board. You can enjoy the sea views and spend your time very interesting.

If you are travelling and want to stay at a hotel you should to book a room in advance. You can book a single or a double or a suite which is much more expensive.
On arriving at the hotel you come up to the reception desk in the hall to check in. The receptionist gives you a reception card to fill in. You write down your name, address, place and date of birth, passport number and sign.

At big hotels you can get any service you need by telephone. The maid do your room and make the bed. You can order meals to the room and have your laundry done.
You should let the receptionist know when you are going to check out so that they can have the bill ready for your in time.
