SEVENTH.-INTERPRETATION OF THE AGREEMENT
The present Agreement should not be interpretedin the sense of having created a legal or financial relation between the parties. It constitutes a memorandum of understanding whose aim is to promote authenticrelations of mutual benefit regarding academic cooperation.
EIGHTH.-DURATION, AMENDMENT AND RENEWAL
The Agreement shall come into effect upon signature of this document by authorized representatives of both universities and shall remain in force for a period of four (4) years from the date of the last signature.
This agreement may be terminated by either Party giving to the other not less than sixty (60) days prior written notice. Any renewal or amendment to this agreement must be done in writing before its termination date and signed by the authorized representatives of each institution.
EIGHTH. - PERSONAL DATA AND SENSITIVE INFORMATION PROTECTION
Notwithstanding the obligations as regards active advertising and the right of access to public information provided in Law 19/2013, of December 9th, on Transparency, Access to Public Information and Good Governance, and Law 2/2015, of April 2nd, of the Valencian Regional Government, on Transparency, Good Governance and Citizen Participation of the Valencia Region, the parties commit to respect and preserve the confidentiality of the information supplied during the implementation of this framework agreement or any subsequent specific agreements.
Likewise, the parties commit expressly as regards personal data access, transfer or processingto respect the principles, regulations and security measures provided for in the Organic Law 15/1999 of December 13th on Personal Data Protection, in Royal Decree 1720/2007 of December 21st which approves the Regulations relating to Organic Law 15/1999 of December 13th on Personal Data Protection, and implementing regulations thereof.
Should one of the parties be located in a country whose legislation offers security levels not matching those of Spain, the parties commit to respect at all times the Spanish regulations on this matter and shall apply at all times the corresponding measures to guarantee the security of its data.
NINTH.-DISAGREEMENTS
All disputes arising out of or in connection with the present agreement shall be amicably settled by the Parties via direct negotiation. The Parties will take all reasonable steps to resolve the disagreements on the basis of good faith and good will criteria. The agreements reached shall be put in writing and will enter into force on the date of signature.
