Kazakh superstitions and beliefs (superstition, belief, think, imagine, strange, luck, win, convince, reveal)

The belief is a superstition, in which to trust or not to believe, however it is the example of national life which is raised by experience and traditions. The belief is a peculiar presage something — good or bad, it is a sign, caution to the person. At the same time, Kazakhs have "sign" which is continuously associated with the concept "prohibitions" that it is forbidden to do (taboo). Today some of these beliefs represent only historical interest, but there are plenty of them, which help to people to live, create and increase spiritual and material wealth.

For example:

1. Do not sit at the corners of the table or you will never get married and have babies

2. Do not greet people while standing in the doorway, as it brings bad luck

3. Kazakhs will bless everyone before a ‘longer’ trip, regardless of their faith, it will bring the traveler good luck.

4. Spit in the air three times to prevent jinxing. People also do this as an equivalent to knocking on wood

5. Kazakh’s religiously fear the ‘evil eye’. This is the fear of hurt or destruction caused by other people’s envy

6. Don’t give yellow flowers as a present. They mean the end of a relationship or jealousy

7. Keeping their home clear of evil spirits, Kazakhs collect a kind of holy grass from the mountains to burn it and shake the smoke around the house

8. If a Kazakh person feels that a room is contaminated with bad energy or a bad spirit, a shaman is called, who will burn incense, cast some spells and chase the evil away

9. Throwing bread out or putting it on the ground will bring you many hungry years

The film which I recommend people to watch (based on, designed, inhabited, inspired, shot on location, audience, kind of film, cast, extra, soundtrack, subtitles)

Tell about the best film you have watched this year (based on, designed, inhabited, inspired, shot on location, audience, kind of film, cast, extra, soundtrack, subtitles)

The film that left a deep and lasting impression on me is a great work of James Cameron direction – “Titanic” ,which is based on real story. This is feature colored film of more than 3 hours long. This film was released by Columbia Pictures associated with 20th Century Fox.The director of “Titanic” is well-known Canadian James Cameron. “Titanic” deals with a tremendous disaster which happened on April, 14 1912 in the Atlantic Ocean when more than 15 hundred people died in freezing water after the enormously huge and luxurious passenger liner “Titanic” had sunk.

On this background the love of two young people strongly separated by position they took in society was growing

The climax of the story is simultaneously the moment when Rose and Jack despite of great difference between them understood that their love was true and the only thing really worth living. In the same time the liner collided with an iceberg and began to sink.

The end of the film is quite logical. Rose whose mind and soul have totally changed after Jack’s death hid from her suitor and begins a new life under the surname of the man who never be her husband but whom she really loved.

“Titanic” has got an all-star cast for the main characters. Kate Winslet and Leo Di Caprio play the lead.

The plot reveals the power of love and destructive human vanity. The film is brilliant in both – serious content and technically perfect work.

Kind of this movie - the drama

The film allows us vividly imagine the drama that fills our world and, probably, let us wish well to each other.

They reconstructed and halfly built a new copy of Titanik and then film was shot there. Soundtrack and sublitles now are available almost on all languages .

A friend in need is a friend indeed (used to; relationships, romance, close friend, be together, break up, get to know, have something in common, lose touch, propose)

Sometimes we move with our friends so intimately that the intimacy lasts for a long time. There are lifelong friends who have a bearing on our personalities, and two friends, who are thick as thieves “do” influence each other, and the two grow together.

The relationship with a friend has not been properly realized by us. Some do not believe in nurturing friendship as they are by nature aloof and reserved. This nature is not desirable, for, it indicates the lack of sociability. Sometimes parents or teachers may not be able to enforce a point on their child and a friend may come in to help them. I can relate an incident in the life of my relative. In fact he was my cousin. His son was adamant that he would not join the engineering course, but his father insisted that he should join the course as he would have bright professional prospects. Any amount of persuasion by his father did not work. At last his son’s friend intervened and spoke to his friend of the importance of his father’s valuable advice.

You may have been a polite, soft-spoken student of gentle manners. Your friend may be dominant, may be rough, roguish and given to evil ways. Your friend will take advantage of your innocence, your softness and may trick you, lead you to a wrong path. He may be a drug addict, he may be a smoker, he may drink and observing him you may in the long run become an addict to drugs, you may smoke and drink. You may do all these things without the knowledge of your parents. On coming to know that you have bad habits your parents may feel shocked, your teachers may be displeased with you, your relatives will hate you.

A friend who has good habits, who is gentle and well- mannered is an inestimable friend. His good character improves you and in due course you will turn out to be well-mannered and gentle even if you had some bad qualities. A friend who helps you by giving you advice, by helping you to clear your doubts in your lessons, a friend who is intelligent and know legible is indeed an inestimable friend. A friend in need is a friend indeed.
