5. There are two broad methods used to store data in a GIS: Raster and Vector.

There is no difference between raster and vector data.

Raster data is stored in various formats; from a standard file-based structure of TIF, JPEG, etc. to binary systems.

Points, lines and polygons are the main marks to show different geographical features on the map.

Polygon features can measure distance.

Line features can measure perimeter and area.
