Jennies: I don’t like leading a life based on debt. I wonder how people could live that way. Karla: What about talking to your boss about increasing your salary? I’m sure he’s a decent guy. If you made him a cup of tea and gave him a big smile, for example, I’m sure he sees things your way. Jennies: I wish he would. I’ve already asked him about reducing my hours. There would be more incentive then. Right now, I’m in charge of whole department, but my income didn’t represent the duties I have.
