It is right to read about historic places before sightseeing

These days more and more people are going on sightseeing tours. Some people find it necessary to read about historical sites they are going to visit in advance, while others think they will learn everything they need on the spot.
Personally, I think it is a good idea to read about historic sights before seeing them. Firstly, it helps people better understand what they see. Secondly, some objects may be too complicated for understanding or can be in very poor conditions to recognize their historical value without some additional information. Thirdly, it is much more interesting to see historic places when you learn about them in advance. Therefore, only in this way can you truly enjoy what you see and pay attention to some details as you know all the general information.
However, some people claim it is a waste of time to surf the net in search of some information about historical sites beforehand. They say it is tour guides’ work to tell them everything about these places.

Nevertheless, I still stand my ground. Of course, there is a grain of truth in my opponents’ point of view but tour guides are unable to tell us all the interesting information due to the lack of time. Also, some noise can prevent us from hearing clearly.
All in all, I firmly believe people should read about historic places they are going to visit in advance. It will help them enjoy their trip to the fullest.

Undoubtedly, modern people spend too much time on the Internet. However, some people say that the Global Net is very useful for our developing society, while others claim that the time wasted on the Net can be devoted to something more efficient.(43)
In my view, the Internet helps to save our precious time and it is the best time-saver. Firstly, the Net gives us a wonderful opportunity to meet beloved people even if they are far away from us. Secondly, online shopping has become an inseparable part of our everyday life and we do not need to waste time in queues. Thirdly, we become aware of the changing political situation in the country and find out news in the blink of an eye.(81)
Nevertheless, other people believe that the time spent on the net is useless. It is an open secret that the Net contains not only educational sites, but also a lot of meaningless information. For example, it is flooded with advertisement, personal blogs and videos. Unfortunately, students may be distracted by all this pointless stuff instead of paying attention to studies.(60)
Despite the above-mentioned argument I cannot agree with the opposing point of view. Personally, I consider that Internet resources are very beneficial for teachers and students as they do not need to look for information in the libraries for a long time.(42)
In conclusion, I would like to say that the World Wide Web is really a great invention which saves our time, money and effort. 250 words.
