Kotulevich N.Y. Lipid profile and quality of life in patients with stage V chronic kidney disease treated by program haemodialysis. – Manuscript.

The dissertation is dedicated to study the lipid profile and the quality of life in patients with stage V chronic kidney disease (CKD) who received the substitution therapy with program haemodialisys (PG), and includes the assessment of therapeutic efficacy along with the use of atorvastatin, and also the defining of factors affecting the quality of life and severity of CKD course.
Analysis of the lipid profile in 112 patients with stage V CKD allowed to diagnose the significant changes in 54% of patients, and in 46% - “false normolipoproteidemia”, which is manifested in the change of apoproteins and high-densisty lipoproteids content against the background of normal concentration of atheroginic fractions of lipoproteids.
The use of atorvastatin in CKD patients allows to achieve the decrease in synthesis of cholesterin as well as the redistribution of cholesterin from low-density lipoproteids to high-density lipoproteids.
The analysis of dynamics of components of life quality in patients receiving atorvastatin for 8 weeks at a dose of 10mg showed, that 8 of 10 elements assessed are characterized as having positive dynamics.
There is proposed the diagnostic algorithm for estimation of the severity of CKD course which comprises 12 parameters, presenting the degree of manifestation of atherosclerotic processes in stage V CKD patients
Therefore, the studies performed in patients with stage V chronic kidney disease proved the presence of lipid exchange disorders and the advisability of the use of hypolipidemic therapy in this category of patients.
