The dissertation is devoted to the problem of aesthetic taste development through foreign languages teaching to students in institutions of higher learning of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Pedagogical conditions of aesthetic taste development are especially emphasized in this research.
In the dissertation the aesthetic taste is analysed in the context of its pedagogical meaning. The issues of developing aesthetic taste in philosophical, psychological and pedagogical literature are characterised; the essential features of students’ self-educative activity and interactive methods of teaching as leading factors in the educational process of high school are revealed; correlation between language and thinking is considered; basic methodological grounds of foreign languages teaching in the non-linguistic institutions of higher learning are presented; pedagogical conditions of developing aesthetic taste through foreign languages teaching are determined; specifics of developing aesthetic taste of students of institutions of higher learning of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine are analysed.
The pedagogical conditions of developing aesthetic taste through foreign languages teaching have been elaborated and checked experimentally. We have worked out and grounded the role of foreign languages teaching for the development of aesthetic taste through experimental studying. Besides, the work contains recommendations on practical realisation of the conditions mentioned above including recommendations on introduction of the variety of forms and methods of foreign languages teaching provided with academic material of aesthetical character.
