Annotatio n . The article describes an empirical study of the degree of explicitness of the most studied cognitive style among people, whose activities are mediated by computer systems - field dependence / field independence. The study involved cybersportsmen, as an experimental group, and the control group consisted of subjects engaged in other sports (tennis, boxing, football, dancing, swimming, rhythmic gymnastics). For the psychological diagnosis of the severity of the studied cognitive style was used test embedded G. Uitkina figures. The main conclusion of this study was the assertion, that there is a statistically significant severity of the cognitive style of usefulness in a group of cybersportsmen.
