1) Maybe it will in future. But nowadays there are still millions of people who learn the latest news from the newspapers, television and radio. All these have their own advantages. Besides not all elderly people can work on the computer and use the Internet. They prefer watching TV and reading newspapers. But in our fast changing world nobody could predict what will happen to the world even in 5 years’ time. That’s why I would be very careful in predicting the future.
2) Maybe yes, maybe no. The Internet is a great source of information and entertainment for many people. But there are always those who prefer going to the theatre or reading a good book. We’ll live and we’ll see.

Do you know what countries have cross-cultural relationship with Belarus?
Belarus takes an active part in the development of the international society in different spheres of life: global politics, science, economy, ecology, education, culture and sports. It helps Belarus promote its potential and to raise its status on the international arena. Belarus is a member of about 100 international organizations: the United Nations Organization (UNO), the Organization for Security Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the European-Asian Economic Union (EEU) and many others. Belarus’ participation in these organizations helps to promote peaceful diplomatic relations, social and economic development of the world and to protect human rights.
Belarus has a friendly working relationship with such countries as Russia, Germany, France, the USA, Italy, Venezuela, Sweden and many others.
We are proud to say that Belarus is among the countries with highly developed industry. We export our heavy trucks, tractors, milk and meat products to Russia, the Ukraine, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania etc. Our import includes clothes from China; fruit from Turkey; coffee from Brazil; metal, gas and oil from Russia etc. This is an example of economic cooperation.
One example of political cooperation is our assistance in the attempts to solve the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
The brilliant example of cultural cooperation is “Slaviansky Bazaar” when people forget the conflicts between their countries. They just meet and show their talents, enjoy each other’s company and make friends.
Is it important for Belarus to organize international events?
Yes, it is. It is very important for Belarus to organize international events and festivals. On the one hand, it gives us an opportunity to introduce our country to the world, promote our culture and national identity. On the other hand, it improves our cooperation with other countries. We can exchange experience, seek the support and gain new ideas.
