Olizko Natalia. Postmodern literary discourse in the aspect of intermedial relations

The postmodern work as a sign system reveals the ability to establish the so-called "intermedial relations" by referring to various kinds of cultural codes. The openness of the postmodern work allows us to interpret every point of literary discourse as a separate "organism" capable of self-development. The appeal to the external semiotic environment of the semiosphere and the ability to attract new codes of perception allow literary discourse to recreate and dynamically develop its intermedial structure. Intermedial self-organization refers to the ability of elements of a disequilibrium system of literary discourse that interacts with a multitude of other discourses and sign systems come to the ordering of the internal structure. At the same time, the intermedial system constantly produces and reproduces its own conceptual organization through fractal self-organization operations as a component production system. As a result, the work of art separates, distances from its creator, constantly realizing and confirming itself as an independent sense system, for the knowledge of which we need a unique set of art codes and schemes that are updated and supplemented in the space of the semiosphere with each new reading of the given artwork.

Pakhomova Anna. The aspects of the linguistic representation of a creative personality of the painter Andrew Wyeth in the American art history discourse

The article focuses on the aspects of the linguistic representation of a creative personality of the painter Andrew Wyeth in the American art history discourse. The analysis of literature written about the painter revealed a certain common tendency peculiar to the four books most valuable for the research of Andrew Wyeth’s art. Its essence lies in the fact that all of the authors preferred either the genre of interview, or a type of publicistic genre that relies on the methods of fiction literature (in which the author takes on a position of “author the publisher”, who observes “author the narrator”, represented by Andrew Wyeth). On several occasions a text that is supposed to be viewed as a part of the art history discourse turns out to be a transcription of an oral interview, which preserves the specific nature of the painter’s language, which allows us to reconstruct his linguistic portrait, examine the structure of his professional linguistic personality and analyze the interpretative function of language in self-commentary. The article considers the communicative situation which focuses on the “conversation with the viewer”, which in its turn implies a multifaceted narrative with a clearly defined position of the author, the verbal actualization of the painter’s thoughts and emotions.

Petukhova Tatiana(St Petersburg State University, Russia). Specific features of verbal representation of aesthetic evaluation in art discourse

The report represents the results of the research of the aesthetic evaluation as a basic category of the art discourse. The author analyses individual and social factors that influence aesthetic evaluation, investigates specific features of art-based communication, reveals rational and emotional components of evaluation. The author touches upon cognitive activity of the recipient, aimed at understanding of the meaning laid by the painter. The process of art perception implies specific communication and interaction between the work of art and the recipient, the system of emotional relations. The report deals with the cognitive-emotive mechanism of aesthetic empathy in the art discourse. Empathy means close interaction of cognitive and emotional processes accompanying the art perception and aimed at revealing of the painter’s thoughts, decoding emotional dominants of the work of art. Taking into consideration the significance of the recipient’s emotions, we can consider it reasonable to use such instrument of analysis as cognitive and emotive situation, which presupposes perception, evaluation of the work of art and verbal representation of the recipient’s opinion and emotions.
