As a result of the research work, the following information was collected about a participant in the Great Patriotic War, a graduate of our school:

Krasilshchikov Grigory Solomonovich

Born: February 17, 1924 in the city of Orel.

Award: the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd class

Rank: Junior lieutenant

Position: commander of the T-34 tank, 1st Tank battalion, 170th Tank Brigade (appendix 1).

In 1941, Grigory Krasilshchikov graduated from the 10th grade of the 4th secondary school in the city of Orel. Together with his parents, he was evacuated to the Urals, where he entered the tank school in the city of Kurgan. After graduation, he was sent to the front.

He died during the liberation of the village of Kemerovo during the liquidation of the Korsun-Shevchenko boiler (appendix 2), and he was buried there in a mass grave for 500 people [3](appendix 3).

Grigory Krasilshchikov was posthumously awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd class.

From the materials of the award list of ml. lieutenant Krasilytsikov: "On 12.2.44, near Zvenigorodok, Kiev region, while on the defensive, heroically won back his line, he shot down an enemy Panther tank with cannon fire and destroyed 2 platoons of enemy infantry with machine gun fire. During the unstable situation of our infantry, Comrade Krasilshchikov got out of the tank, showed a commanding initiative, and helped restore the previous position" (appendices 4,5,6).

Grigory Krasilshchikov died heroically on the day of his 20th birthday.

The feat of Grigory Krasilshchikov is described in the book of Sergei Sergeyevich Smirnov "Stalingrad on the Dnieper".

"February 1944. The tank crew under the command of Lieutenant Krasilshchikov faced a very important task. The lives of many comrades depended on its implementation. It was necessary to break unexpectedly into the small Ukrainian village of Novo-Budy, which is near the city of Korsun-Shevchenko. In this village, the fascists firmly settled, strengthened their firing points, and they had to be identified in order to destroy them.

The tankers had almost no chance to come back. They were heading for certain death. They were going to perform a feat. They had to call the fire on themselves.

And now the Soviet tank has already passed the front line at full speed, now it has burst into the village and began to mercilessly crush and shoot the Fascist guns. Confused and angry at the audacity of the Russians, the fascists opened a frenzied fire on the tank from all their guns. The nimble "thirty-four" darted from side to side, deceiving the next shell, which could be the last for it.

The tank, which miraculously survived this unequal battle, was already returning to its positions, when suddenly two shells, one after the other, hit the tower. There was a brief flash of deadly light that struck the commander down…»[4]

The memory of the hero is kept in the museum of his native school.

From 1985 to 1992, the pioneer and then Komsomol detachment of school No. 4 of the city of Orel was named after G. Krasilshchikov. The administration and teachers of the school maintained contact with the relatives of Grigory Solomonovich. Grigory's mother and sister donated the hero's personal belongings to the school museum fund. These items occupy a worthy place in the museum's exposition (appendices 7,9,10).

In 2019, the Unarmy detachment of the Lyceum No. 4 in Orel was named after Grigory Krasilshchikov (Appendix 8).
